The Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, was first compiled by Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru, in 1604. He included the hymns of the first four Gurus and his own teachings, along with the writings of saints like Kabir, Namdev, Sheikh Farid, and others, emphasizing universal truth and spirituality. Later, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru, added the hymns of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and declared Guru Granth Sahib as the eternal Guru of Sikhs. This sacred scripture is not just a book but a spiritual guide that teaches equality, devotion, and unity with God.
