Harry Potter China Release: Warner Bros. Accelerates Plans
After hitting theaters in the U.S. on Nov. 16, pirated videodisc copies of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone surfaced in China within days, pushing Warner Bros. to accelerate an official release there.
