    (Muundo wa Dunia na Maajabu Yaliyomo)

    1. UMRI WA DUNIA

    HII Dunia yetu ina historia ndefu mno tangu ilipojiunda angani, miaka takribani bilioni 4.5 iliyopita.

    Tarakimu za umri huo wa miaka bilioni 4.5 ni 4,500,000,000, yaani miaka milioni elfu nne na mia tano iliyopita.

    Dunia ambayo kwa lugha ya Kiingereza inafahamika vyema kwa jina la 'Earth', pia hujulikana kama 'the World', ikimaanishwa ulimwengu.

    Aidha, Dunia ni sayari pekee kwenye himaya ya sayari zilizopo chini ya jua ambayo jina lake halitokani na majina ya "Miungu wa Dola" ya Kigiriki au ya Kirumi.

    Asili ya jina la 'earth' ni 'erde' lenye asili ya nchini Ujerumani, na maana yake ni udongo au ardhi.

    Mpaka kuweza kupata umri huo wa dunia wanasayansi walifanya kazi ya kutafiti na kisha kuwasilisha matokeo yao kwenye makongamano ya kisayansi duniani, ambapo matokeo hayo yalijadiliwa kwa kina na hatimaye kukubalika kama hivi.

    2. KUUMBIKA DUNIA, SAYARI, JUA, NYOTA

    Kimsingi, Dunia kama zilivyo sayari zingine zote ilijiunda kutokana na mabaki ya vitu vilivyotumika kuunda Jua.

    Jua ambalo ni nyota kama zilivyo nyota zote angani, lilijiunda lenyewe kwenye eneo la anga lijulikanalo kama 'Pillars of Creation' (nguzo za uumbaji) katika ukanda wa anga wenye upana ambao huonekana kutokuwa na mwisho.

    Ukanda huo ujulikanao kama 'Solar Nebula,' umegubikwa na mawingu ya vumbi la huko angani pamoja na aina mbalimbali za gesi na hewa, ikiwemo haidrojeni na heliumu.

    'Solar' ni jina la nishati itokanayo na joto la jua, na 'Nebula' kwa lugha ya Kilatini ni "wingu" au vumbi la gesi asilia mithili ya ukungu.

    Miamba hiyo ni kutokana na lile vumbi la angani ambalo hatimaye limeshikamana pamoja mithili ya zege, na hatimaye kuwa miamba ndani ya tufani ya duara.

    Sanjari na kuundika huko ndani ya kitovu cha hiyo tufani ya duara, pia kwelekea nje ya duara hiyo utaundika udongo ambao ardhi, mchanga na mawe.

    Kutokana na duara hiyo ya tufani kuongezeka ukubwa, hatimaye sumaku iliyopo kwenye kitovu cha duara hiyo itaishiwa nguvu ya kwendelea kunasa vumbi zaidi kuja kwenye mzingo wa hiyo duara ya tufani.

    Kumbuka kuwa wakati huo hiyo duara pia itaunda kimo kutoka kwenye usawa wa ardhi yake kwenda ndani kwenye kitovu chake, na hivyo kuwa duara ya mviringo kama umbo mfano wa mpira mchezo wa miguu.

    Baada ya kupita maelfu ya miaka mingi, duara hiyo ambayo hapo awali ilianza kama umbo la tufani na kuzidi kukua huko angani, sasa itakuwa na joto kali kupita kiasi na kuanza kung'aa kama jua.

    3. KIINI CHA DUNIA

    Dunia yetu ambayo wastani wa nusu kipenyo cha umbo lake la duara ni kilomita 6,371, mzingo wake ni kilomita takribani 40,041.

    Kama zilivyo sayari zote katika himaya ya jua, dunia nayo ilijiunda wakati jua likijiunda lenyewe.

    Yaani kwamba sayari ni mabaki ya vitu vilivyotumika kuliunda jua.

    Kadhalika kama zilivyo sayari zingine zote, dunia nayo ina kiini chake ambacho kipo katikati ya ardhi yake.

    Kiini hicho kina nguvu kubwa ya sumaku ambayo, pamoja na mambo mengineyo, 'huvuta' umbo hilo la duara kutoka juu ya ardhi kwenda katikati ya kiini hicho.

    Muundo huo ndio hulifungamanisha pamoja umbo la duara la dunia, na hivyo kuzuia umbo hilo lisifumke kutoka ardhini na kusambaratika.

    4. MAJI DUNIANI

    Walidai kuwa maji yaliyopo duniani yaliumbika kwenye ardhi ya dunia tangu mwanzo, wakati ikijiunda angani.

    Ikumbukwe kuwa eneo la uso wa dunia likiwa ni jumla ya kilomita za mraba milioni 510, asilimia 70.8 ya eneo hilo imefunikwa na maji na asilimia 29.2 ni nchi kavu, ikiwemo milima, mabonde na ardhi tambarare.

    5. HEWA YA OKSIJENI

    Muundo mwingine muhimu katika sayari hii ya dunia ni hewa ambazo ni tawala, yaani Naitrojeni ambayo kwa usahihi imeenea kwa asilimia 78.08 ya hewa yote ya dunia, Oksijeni asilimia 20.95, 'Argon' asilimia 0.93, hewa ya Ukaa (Carbon dioxide) asilimia 0.039, na asilimia moja ni hewa mithili ya mvuke wa maji (water vapour).

    Hewa ya Oksijeni ambayo ni nguzo muhimu kwa ajili ya uhai wa viumbe wote na pia haipatikani kwenye sayari nyingine chini ya jua, inadhaniwa ilianza kupatikana duniani miaka takribani bilioni 2.5 iliyopita kufuatia "kukomaa kwa kiini cha dunia."

    Kwa mujibu wa matokeo ya tafiti mbalimbali na nadharia za kisayansi, inaoneshwa kuwa kukomaa kwa kiini hicho cha dunia hatimaye ndiko kulisababisha kuzuka duniani milipuko ya volikano ambayo pia ilisababisha kuzuka mabonde na milima.

    Inaoneshwa kuwa tayari wakati huo maji yaliishakuwepo duniani, na kuwezesha kuzuka chembechembe ndogo sana za kibakteria zijulikanazo kwa jina la kisayansi la 'cyanobacteria' au 'blue-green algae'.

    Kwa kutumia mwanga wa jua, maji na hewa ya ukaa, chembechembe hizo ziliweza kuzalisha hewa mbalimbali, ikiwemo 'Carbonhydrates' na Oksijeni.

    Mpaka wakati wa kuzuka duniani mimea na viumbe hai miaka takribani bilioni 3.5 iliyopita, tayari oksijeni ilikwa ni tele duniani; na hivyo kutumika kudumisha uhai wa viumbe hadi wakati huu.

    6. UKANDA WA 'OZONE'

    Muundo mwingie muhimu wa asili kwa dunia ni ukanda wa anga ujulikanao kwa jina la 'ozone' ambao umetanda kama 'mwavuli' kwenye anga ya dunia, na kuikinga isidhuriwe na mionzi hatari ya sumu kutoka kwenye Jua.

    Ukanda huo maarufu kama 'ozone layer' umetanda kuanzia usawa wa kilometa 15 kutoka ardhini kwenda juu angani mpaka ukomo wa kilomita takribani 50, ambapo huchuja asilimia kati ya 97 na 99 ya mionzi hatari kwenye miale ya joto la jua.

    Miongoni mwa matatizo yanayosababishwa na mionzi hiyo hatari kutoka kwenye jua, ni pamoja na magonjwa ya saratani ya ngozi kwa bianadamu.

    Pia juu ya ukanda wa tabaka la ozone kuna ukanda mwingine uitwao "atmosphere" ambao ni madhubuti kiasi kwamba vitu vinavyotoka anga za juu na kujaribu kuupenya ili kufika duniani, hukumbana na joto kali na kusambaratishwa kwa kuunguzwa.

    Si kwamba tabaka hilo lina joto, isipokuwa kasi ya "kuanguka" vitu hivyo kutoka juu angani kuja dunia husababisha msuguano na chembechembe za gesi katika eneo hilo na kuzalisha joto mithili ya ndimi za moto.

    Rangi hizo ni ishara ya ukali wa moto huo, lakini kutokana na waundaji wa vyombo hivyo kutumia mchanganyiko wa mabati na plastiki ngumu visivyopenywa na joto, Apollo huonekana kulichana tabaka hilo na kutokea upande wa pili ambao ni anga ya dunia.

    7. NGUVU ASILI YA UVUTANO

    Muundo mwingine wa dunia ni nguvu ya asili ya uvutano ya dunia, maarufu kama 'gravitation', ambayo huvuta vitu kuvirejesha chini duniani pale vinaporushwa kwenda juu au vile vinavyoanguka kutoka juu angani.

    Nguvu hiyo ina manufaa makubwa, kwani bila kuwepo duniani binadamu na viumbe wengine wangepeperuka kama karatasi kwenda juu wakati wakitembea juu ya ardhi ya hii.

    Kadhalika, nguvu hiyo husaidia kuvuta hewa ya oksijeni na kuiweka karibu na ardhi kwa ajili ya matumizi mbalimbali.

    Pia, nguvu hiyo husaidia kuiweka dunia, mwezi, jua na sayari zingine katika uwiano wa umbali usio na madhara kutoka kila moja.

    Nguvu hiyo ya asili ndiyo huliweka joto la jua duniani na kubaki kuwa katika kiwango kinachotakiwa, na hivyo kuwezesha viumbe kupata joto la wastani na pia katika kiwango mwanana.

    Jibu ni kwamba nguvu asili ya uvutano hapa duniani ni kubwa kuliko ya kule mwezini.

    Nguvuasili ya jua ni mita 274 kwa sekunde, ikiwa ni zaidi ya kiasi cha nguvuasili ya kila sayari.

    DUNIA NA MAAJABU YAKE (Muundo wa Dunia na Maajabu Yaliyomo) 1. UMRI WA DUNIA HII Dunia yetu ina historia ndefu mno tangu ilipojiunda angani, miaka takribani bilioni 4.5 iliyopita. Tarakimu za umri huo wa miaka bilioni 4.5 ni 4,500,000,000, yaani miaka milioni elfu nne na mia tano iliyopita. Dunia ambayo kwa lugha ya Kiingereza inafahamika vyema kwa jina la 'Earth', pia hujulikana kama 'the World', ikimaanishwa ulimwengu. Aidha, Dunia ni sayari pekee kwenye himaya ya sayari zilizopo chini ya jua ambayo jina lake halitokani na majina ya "Miungu wa Dola" ya Kigiriki au ya Kirumi. Asili ya jina la 'earth' ni 'erde' lenye asili ya nchini Ujerumani, na maana yake ni udongo au ardhi. Jua ambalo ni nyota kama zilivyo nyota zote angani, lilijiunda lenyewe kwenye eneo la anga lijulikanalo kama 'Pillars of Creation' (nguzo za uumbaji) katika ukanda wa anga wenye upana ambao huonekana kutokuwa na mwisho. Ukanda huo ujulikanao kama 'Solar Nebula,' umegubikwa na mawingu ya vumbi la huko angani pamoja na aina mbalimbali za gesi na hewa, ikiwemo haidrojeni na heliumu. 'Solar' ni jina la nishati itokanayo na joto la jua, na 'Nebula' kwa lugha ya Kilatini ni "wingu" au vumbi la gesi asilia mithili ya ukungu. Vurumai hiyo ya mzunguko wa hiyo tufani ya duara yenye vumbi, itazidi kukua hadi kuunda sumaku ya asili ndani ya kile kitovu cha duara ya tufani. Kutokana na duara hiyo ya tufani kuongezeka ukubwa, hatimaye sumaku iliyopo kwenye kitovu cha duara hiyo itaishiwa nguvu ya kwendelea kunasa vumbi zaidi kuja kwenye mzingo wa hiyo duara ya tufani. Kumbuka kuwa wakati huo hiyo duara pia itaunda kimo kutoka kwenye usawa wa ardhi yake kwenda ndani kwenye kitovu chake, na hivyo kuwa duara ya mviringo kama umbo mfano wa mpira mchezo wa miguu. Baada ya kupita maelfu ya miaka mingi, duara hiyo ambayo hapo awali ilianza kama umbo la tufani na kuzidi kukua huko angani, sasa itakuwa na joto kali kupita kiasi na kuanza kung'aa kama jua. KIINI CHA DUNIA Dunia yetu ambayo wastani wa nusu kipenyo cha umbo lake la duara ni kilomita 6,371, mzingo wake ni kilomita takribani 40,041. Kama zilivyo sayari zote katika himaya ya jua, dunia nayo ilijiunda wakati jua likijiunda lenyewe. Yaani kwamba sayari ni mabaki ya vitu vilivyotumika kuliunda jua. Kadhalika kama zilivyo sayari zingine zote, dunia nayo ina kiini chake ambacho kipo katikati ya ardhi yake. Kiini hicho kina nguvu kubwa ya sumaku ambayo, pamoja na mambo mengineyo, 'huvuta' umbo hilo la duara kutoka juu ya ardhi kwenda katikati ya kiini hicho. Muundo huo ndio hulifungamanisha pamoja umbo la duara la dunia, na hivyo kuzuia umbo hilo lisifumke kutoka ardhini na kusambaratika. Hiyo ni sawa na mpira wa miguu unavyoweza kupasuka na kusambaratika, kama utajazwa upepo kupita kiasi chake. Kiini hicho ambacho kipo katikati kabisa ya dunia, kinajulikanacho kwa jina la kisayansi la 'Inner Core.' Kiini hicho kina joto kali la sentigredi 6,230 ambacho ndio kiasi cha joto la jua. Kiini cha dunia kinaundwa na madini mchanganyiko wa nikeli (nickle), chuma (iron) na dhahabu. Kwa mujibu wa utafiti, inakadiriwa kuwa kama dhahabu hiyo ingechimbwa na kuchomwa mpaka kuwa kimiminika sawa na uji na kisha kumwagwa chini, ingeweza kuifunika dunia yote kwa unene wa sentimeta 45. Kiini hicho muhimu kwa uhai wa sayari hii ya dunia kiligunduliwa mwaka 1936 na mtaalamu wa matetemeko ya ardhi wa nchini Denmark, mwanamama Dkt. Inge Lehmann. Dkt. Lehmann alihitimu shahada yake ya kwanza katika fani ya Hisabati mwaka 1910, ya Uzamili mwaka 1920 (zote kutoka Chuo Kikuu cha Copenhagen nchini mwake), na ile ya Uzamivu kutoka Chuo Kikuu cha Cambridge nchini Uingereza. Alifariki kwa uzee mwaka 1993 akiwa na umri wa miaka 104. 4. MAJI DUNIANI Kupatikana maji kwenye dunia yetu, ni mojawapo ya miundo ambayo haipo katika sayari zingine ambazo tuna taarifa za kitafiti kuzuhusu. Maji ni muhimili muhimu kwa ajili ya uhai wa viumbe wote na mimea, ambavyo kwa pamoja havipo katika sayari zingine za himaya ya jua. HEWA YA OKSIJENI Muundo mwingine muhimu katika sayari hii ya dunia ni hewa ambazo ni tawala, yaani Naitrojeni ambayo kwa usahihi imeenea kwa asilimia 78.08 ya hewa yote ya dunia, Oksijeni asilimia 20.95, 'Argon' asilimia 0.93, hewa ya Ukaa (Carbon dioxide) asilimia 0.039, na asilimia moja ni hewa mithili ya mvuke wa maji (water vapour). Hewa ya Oksijeni ambayo ni nguzo muhimu kwa ajili ya uhai wa viumbe wote na pia haipatikani kwenye sayari nyingine chini ya jua, inadhaniwa ilianza kupatikana duniani miaka takribani bilioni 2.5 iliyopita kufuatia "kukomaa kwa kiini cha dunia." Kwa mujibu wa matokeo ya tafiti mbalimbali na nadharia za kisayansi, inaoneshwa kuwa kukomaa kwa kiini hicho cha dunia hatimaye ndiko kulisababisha kuzuka duniani milipuko ya volikano ambayo pia ilisababisha kuzuka mabonde na milima. Inaoneshwa kuwa tayari wakati huo maji yaliishakuwepo duniani, na kuwezesha kuzuka chembechembe ndogo sana za kibakteria zijulikanazo kwa jina la kisayansi la 'cyanobacteria' au 'blue-green algae'. Kwa kutumia mwanga wa jua, maji na hewa ya ukaa, chembechembe hizo ziliweza kuzalisha hewa mbalimbali, ikiwemo 'Carbonhydrates' na Oksijeni. Kwa kuwa hizo chembechembe ndogo za kibakteria huishi baharini, ilikuwa rahisi kwa oksijeni kutokea baharini kupepea na kuenea katika anga ya dunia na kuzuiliwa hapo na nguvu asili ya uvutano ya dunia ili pia ibaki ikienea pote duniani. Mpaka wakati wa kuzuka duniani mimea na viumbe hai miaka takribani bilioni 3.5 iliyopita, tayari oksijeni ilikwa ni tele duniani; na hivyo kutumika kudumisha uhai wa viumbe hadi wakati huu. 6. UKANDA WA 'OZONE' Muundo mwingie muhimu wa asili kwa dunia ni ukanda wa anga ujulikanao kwa jina la 'ozone' ambao umetanda kama 'mwavuli' kwenye anga ya dunia, na kuikinga isidhuriwe na mionzi hatari ya sumu kutoka kwenye Jua. Ukanda huo maarufu kama 'ozone layer' umetanda kuanzia usawa wa kilometa 15 kutoka ardhini kwenda juu angani mpaka ukomo wa kilomita takribani 50, ambapo huchuja asilimia kati ya 97 na 99 ya mionzi hatari kwenye miale ya joto la jua. Miongoni mwa matatizo yanayosababishwa na mionzi hiyo hatari kutoka kwenye jua, ni pamoja na magonjwa ya saratani ya ngozi kwa bianadamu. Pia juu ya ukanda wa tabaka la ozone kuna ukanda mwingine uitwao "atmosphere" ambao ni madhubuti kiasi kwamba vitu vinavyotoka anga za juu na kujaribu kuupenya ili kufika duniani, hukumbana na joto kali na kusambaratishwa kwa kuunguzwa.
